VIDEO: Wike breaks into dance at UNIPORT convocation after receiving honorary degree

A video currently making waves on social media captures the jubilant moment Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), celebrated being conferred with an Honorary Doctor of Science degree by the University of Port Harcourt.

The celebration took place on Saturday during the institution’s convocation ceremony held on its main campus in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

In the widely circulated clip, Wike, surrounded by supporters and dignitaries, was seen expressing his excitement through spirited dance moves shortly after receiving the honorary degree.

Wike, a former Governor of Rivers State and an alumnus of UNIPORT, was honoured for his outstanding contributions to public service, urban development, and infrastructure transformation, both during his tenure in Rivers State and in his current role overseeing the FCT.
