Senators begin recess, no plenary until late September

The Nigerian Senate has embarked on its annual recess, a routine two-month break, and is scheduled to reconvene on September 23, 2025.

Daily Watch Nigeria earlier reported that the House of Representatives had also begun its recess, with plenary sessions adjourned until Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

Both chambers of the National Assembly are now on break, in line with their legislative calendar.
