Police rescue six Law students kidnapped along Wukari-Benue road

Six law students from the Yola Campus who were abducted on July 26, 2025, while travelling from Anambra State to Adamawa State, have been successfully rescued by the police.

The students were reportedly kidnapped along the dangerous Wukari-Benue axis in the late hours of Saturday, July 26.

Confirming the development, the Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, Edet Udeme, said in a statement on Friday that the students were released unharmed and reunited with their families in the early hours of Friday, August 1, 2025.

She said, “Police authorities confirmed the rescue, assuring the public of their commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property.
