Homecoming: Tosin Adarabioyo visits Sanwo-Olu, set for Lagos Youth tournament

Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, ahead of a youth football tournament being organised in his honour.

The event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.

Adarabioyo, who was born in Nigeria and is currently on a homecoming tour, met with the governor as part of his engagement with the local football community.

Following the meeting, Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed admiration for the Chelsea star via his official Instagram page, describing him as an inspiring figure.

“Tosin Adarabioyo, who plays for Chelsea, stopped by to visit while he’s in Nigeria,” he wrote.

“It’s always inspiring to meet young Nigerians making their mark internationally, who remain grounded and stay connected to home.”

The visit comes shortly after Adarabioyo played a key role in Chelsea’s recent triumph at the FIFA Club World Cup held in the United States, where the team secured a 3-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the final.
