Gov Okpebholo names Anto Lecky SSA on Tourism & Creative Economy

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has appointed former Big Brother Naija housemate, Munirat Antoinette Lecky, popularly known as Anto Lecky, as the Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Creative Economy.
Her appointment, which took effect on June 23, 2025, was confirmed in a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.
The appointment aligns with the state’s renewed focus on promoting tourism and cultural projects, particularly in anticipation of the return of the historic Benin bronzes and the development of major museum initiatives.
The official letter stated: “I write to inform you that the Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved your appointment as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Tourism and Creative Economy with effect from June 23, 2025.
The remuneration attached to the appointment is as provided for in the relevant regulations currently in force in the Edo State Public Service. Please accept my hearty congratulations.”
Anto Lecky first gained national attention as a semi-finalist on the Big Brother Naija reality show. Since then, she has carved out a successful career in Nigeria’s creative and media industries. She previously served as Arts and Special Projects Lead at ElectHER, a non-governmental organisation focused on women’s political inclusion.
She also held the role of Programme Manager at the KAP Film and Television Academy founded by Kunle Afolayan, and was once the Head of Operations at Nigeria’s first private basketball league.
Additionally, she hosted Sights of Flavours, a travel and culinary programme that aired on DStv.
Before this appointment, Lecky was serving as the Special Assistant on Digital and New Media to the Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Audu.
