Chelsea start pre-season strong with 2-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen
Chelsea secured a solid 2-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen in a 2025 Club Friendly, thanks to goals from Estêvão Willian and João Pedro.
Estêvão opened the scoring for the Blues in the 18th minute, rewarding Chelsea’s strong start.
The game featured some early disciplinary action, with Leverkusen’s R. Andrich receiving a yellow card in the 7th minute, followed by Chelsea’s T. Chalobah six minutes later.

Leverkusen’s J. Quansah also picked up a caution in the 26th minute as Chelsea maintained control of possession and tempo throughout the first half.
João Pedro wrapped up the win with a calm finish in the 90th minute, delivering a confidence-boosting result for Chelsea as they continue their pre-season build-up.
