BBNaija 10/10: What went down in the first 5 Days of Biggie’s House

The tenth season of Big Brother Naija kicked off with plenty of energy, surprises, and drama.
With the theme “10/10,” fans were introduced to 29 housemates who brought colour, competition, and strategy to the house right from day one.
The first week didn’t fall short of excitement, with Biggie throwing in unexpected twists and tasks that got viewers glued to their screens.
Here are the top 10 events coined by Daily Watch Nigeria that shaped Week One in Biggie’s house:
1. All 29 Housemates enter the House
BBNaija Season 10 began with a grand entrance of all 29 housemates, setting the tone for what promises to be one of the most unpredictable seasons yet.
This season’s Big Brother Naija kicked off in grand style with the unveiling of 15 vibrant female housemates, each bringing her unique flair, dreams, and personality into the house.
From aspiring stars to self-made bosses, the night was filled with excitement and emotional moments as the ladies made their entrances.
Zita was the first to grace the house at exactly 7:18 p.m., setting the tone for a night of surprises. She was followed by 23-year-old Mide, who entered at 7:21 p.m., ready to make her mark.
Drama immediately promised to be part of the season, as Sultana introduced herself as a “drama queen” when she joined at 7:31 p.m. Doris followed closely behind at 7:33 p.m., becoming the fourth housemate.
Before Big Soso made her grand entrance at 7:45 p.m., the show paid an emotional tribute to late ex-housemate Rico Swavey, who tragically passed away on October 13, 2022, following a road accident.
Tracy became the sixth housemate at 7:48 p.m., bringing her charm and flair. Then came Ivatar at 7:58 p.m., radiating confidence.
At 8:02 p.m., Sabrina made her debut, followed by Gigi Jasmine at 8:06 p.m., adding more sparkle to the growing lineup.
The 10th housemate, Thelma Lawson, fondly called “The Boss Babe”, entered the house at 8:17 p.m., setting high expectations with her commanding presence.
Imisi, known as the “energy goddess,” joined the game at 8:21 p.m., instantly catching attention by pulling off her wig moments after entering.
Ibifubara walked in at 8:32 p.m. as the 12th contestant, while Isabella made her entry at 8:36 p.m.
Joana became the 14th housemate at 8:47 p.m., with Dede completing the night’s lineup as the 15th housemate at 8:50 p.m.
Their male counterpart graced the house on Sunday Night.
2. Jason Jae emerges first head of house
On Sunday, housemates battled in their first Head of House (HoH) challenge, and Jason Jae emerged victorious.
The win granted him immunity and access to Biggie’s exclusive luxury lounge.
Then on Monday, during the newly introduced HoH challenger game, Jason defended his title and retained his position as Head of House, making a strong early statement in the game.
3. Fake Nominations rock the House
Biggie wasted no time shaking things up.
After their first Dairy session where nominations by housemates took place, most nominated housemates were asked to stand.
Biggie later ask all housemates to stand, while he declared all week one nominations invalid and placed all housemates up for eviction, a move that sparked confusion and anxiety.
The Head of House (HoH) was excluded from this session.
4. No Evictions in week one
Despite the announcement that everyone was up for eviction, no one will be sent home this week.
It was Biggie’s way of testing the housemates’ reactions and gameplay early on.
Many housemates were tensed after Biggie’s announcement, but it’s clear, there won’t be eviction this week.
5. Thelma predicts defeat
Housemate Thelma predicted the wager challenge loss before it happened and even prepared a special meal ahead of the task, showing a mix of intuition and preparation.
“The way these people are doing, they are not doing like people that will win their wager, so let me make Egusi soup and hot eba that we will eat before they go into the arena.
“So if they fail, they know that at least they had their last good food before failing,” she said.
Thelma becomes the first housemate ever to predict a game lose.
5. Wager challenge ends in Defeat
The Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemates experienced their first major disappointment after losing the season’s opening wager task this week.
Biggie reveal this to the housemate after the wager presentation.
Biggie revealed that the housemates failed to meet expectations.
As a result, their feeding supplies and privileges for the upcoming week have been significantly reduced.
The wager required the housemates to produce an unmasking show centred around a ball theme, combining dramatic costumes and creative performances.
Despite the anticipation and energy brought to the stage, the final output fell short.
Biggie didn’t mince words in his critique, stating, “Such an unremarkable performance.”
“Housemates, your presentation lacks imagination and substance. Big Brother’s verdict will be as disappointing as your performance. You have lost your wager.”
In addition to the loss, Biggie issued firm warnings regarding delayed responses and recurring microphone violations, stressing the need for better discipline moving forward.
The lose simply means housemates will be facing a tough week ahead with limited resources and palpitation to improve their next performance.
7. Tension builds after Biggie’s twist
Housemates were left in shock after Biggie informed them that they were all up for eviction.
This at some point made housemates to adjust and change approach to the game.
The shock from the fake nominations caused unease across the house, leading to distrust, silent battles, and mood swings among some housemates.
8. Fake alliances formed
Alliance began to shape after Biggie’s shock eviction announcement.
Many housemates changed strategy and made new friends in bid to not be evicted.
The fear of eviction, even though it was fake, pushed many housemates to form quick alliances, while others quietly started reworking their game plans.
9. Clashes in near physical alteration
A dramatic incident shook the Big Brother Naija house as many clashes rocked the house this week including a heated altercation between housemates Imisi and Koyin which nearly turned physical, causing uproar among viewers and fellow housemates alike.
The clash began in the kitchen where Imisi and Sultana got into a dispute over kitchen etiquette.
Rooboy soon jumped in to defend Sultana, repeatedly shouting at Imisi to wash her dishes.
“Go wash that plate, you must wash that plate,” Rooboy yelled as the heated exchange spilled over from the kitchen to the lounge, drawing the attention of other housemates.
As tempers flared, Imisi’s frustration boiled over. When Koyin attempted to intervene, she turned her fury on him. The confrontation escalated when Imisi grabbed what appeared to be a fork and made a threatening move toward Koyin.
“You will do what? You will stab me?” Koyin asked as Imisi stormed toward him with the utensil. “Oya, come and stab me,” he challenged her in a tense standoff that left the entire house on edge.
Fortunately, other housemates quickly intervened to separate the pair and de-escalate the situation before it turned physical.
10. First Diary sessions held
The new housemates experienced their first dairy session in the House.
The housemates may have been dreaming of speaking with Biggie, this became a reality in the first session.
