Akwa Ibom State opens portal for 3,000 job vacancies in Education, Health, ICT, Others [How To Apply]

The Akwa Ibom State Government has officially approved the recruitment of 3,000 qualified professionals into the State Mainstream Civil Service.

The announcement was made by the Ministry of Science and Digital Economy under the leadership of Honourable Commissioner Dr. Frank Ekpenyong.

According to the update dated July 28, 2025, the recruitment spans various fields including education, health, engineering, law, administration, agriculture, accounting, and ICT.

Governor Pastor Umo Eno reiterated his administration’s commitment to transparency, with the entire application process to be conducted exclusively via the ARISE Youth Employment Portal.

Key Application Steps:

Step 1: Complete Your Portal Profile

Register on the portal and upload all required credentials including NYSC certificate or exemption.

Ensure your profile is 100% complete before applying.

Step 2: Apply for a Vacancy

Only one vacancy can be applied for per candidate.

Monitor the portal for advertised roles that suit your qualifications.

Step 3: Accept Your Shortlisting

Shortlisted candidates will be notified via the portal.

Accept the shortlisting to proceed.

Step 4: Attend Aptitude Test & Interview

Bring your printed invite with QR code, along with original certificates and writing materials.

The QR code will be scanned on arrival for verification.

Step 5: Final Notification & Onboarding

Successful candidates will be contacted via the portal and assigned to the appropriate Civil Service Department.

Once confirmed, the candidate’s portal status will be updated to “Employed.”

Vacancy Advertisement Timeline:

Vacancies are expected to be published on or before July 31, 2025, on the ARISE Youth Employment Portal.

Applicants are advised to carefully read and follow all guidelines in the attached flyers.
