PDP’s Fayose attends APC rally, endorses Tinubu, Oyebanji for second term

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has publicly declared his support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid and also endorsed Governor Abayomi Oyebanji for a second term in office.

Fayose made the announcement on Monday during a rally held in Ado Ekiti as part of Oyebanji’s campaign activities for his second term.

The former governor described the occasion as historic, noting that it marked the first time all former governors and political leaders in the state collectively endorsed a sitting governor.

“I hereby endorse publicly without reservation, President Bola Tinubu for a second term,” Fayose said to a cheering crowd.

“I also endorse our governor, Abayomi Oyebanji, and his deputy for a second term. Your Excellency, congratulations,” he added.

He emphasized the unity among Ekiti political figures, saying, “Let me say that this gathering is unique because this is the first time that all former governors of this state, former leaders, National Assembly members, and myself unanimously endorsed a governor.”
