In a remarkable gesture aimed at promoting youth entrepreneurship, the Chief Executive Officer of Vodi Tailors, Mr. Seyi Adekunle, has fulfilled his promise by gifting 40 brand new customized sewing machines to 40 young Nigerians with tailoring skills.

Adekunle made the commitment during his appearance as a guest panelist at the recently concluded National Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Summit (YEEP’25), where over 80 youths were empowered through grants, sponsorships, and business awards.

The summit, organized by Activate Success International Foundation, was held in Abuja and drew more than 2,300 young participants from across the country, including NYSC members.

The Vodi Tailors boss, who marked his 50th birthday last week, said the donation was also part of activities to commemorate his milestone while giving back to the society that shaped him.

He recounted his journey from modest beginnings to running one of Nigeria’s most reputable fashion brands, encouraging youths to stay focused and resilient in their entrepreneurial pursuits.

Beneficiaries of the donation described the machines as life-changing tools that would not only scale up their tailoring businesses but also position them to create jobs for others.

“This gift is a game-changer for us,” said one of the young tailors, echoing the sentiments of many who expressed gratitude for the timely support.

The initiative aligns with YEEP’s mission to provide young Nigerians with the skills, mentorship, and resources needed to thrive in a challenging economy, fostering long-term economic development through youth-led innovation and enterprise.
