Buhari was diciplined, had silent strength – Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has penned a heartfelt tribute to former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, who was laid to rest yesterday in an emotional ceremony.
Tinubu described the late Nigerian leader as a friend, brother, and patriot, whose disciplined and selfless approach to leadership was driven by deep love for the country.
“Mai Gaskiya was not just a former president.”
“He was a man of rare discipline and quiet strength, whose love for Nigeria shaped every decision he made, even in the face of criticism,” Tinubu wrote.
He noted that Buhari’s passing marked a personal and national loss.

“I mourn him deeply, not just as my predecessor, but as a comrade in the long and often lonely journey of nation-building.”
Offering condolences to Buhari’s widow, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, and the entire family, Tinubu prayed for strength and comfort, and for Allah’s mercy upon the departed.
“Nigeria has lost a true son. I have lost a friend in former President Buhari. May Almighty Allah grant him Aljannah Firdaus,” the President added. “Rest well, ‘Baba Buhari’.”
