Tinubu condoles Ghana over Ministers’ death in helicopter crash

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of Ghanaian cabinet members in a recent helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight people, including two top ministers.
Among the deceased were Ghana’s Defence Minister, Edward Omane Boamah, and the Environment Minister, Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed. Reports indicate they were on official assignment at the time of the accident.
In a condolence statement released on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu extended his sympathies to President John Mahama and the people of Ghana.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu extends his deepest condolences to President John Mahama, the government and people of Ghana following the helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Defence Minister Edward Omane Boamah, Environment Minister Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, and six others,” the statement read.
The Nigerian leader described the tragedy as a profound national loss and urged the bereaved families and the Ghanaian nation to take solace in the fact that the deceased died in the line of patriotic service.
“President Tinubu assures President Mahama and all Ghanaians that the thoughts and prayers of the government and people of Nigeria are with them during this time of profound national loss,” the statement continued.
He also offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the souls of the departed and for strength and comfort to the families they left behind.
