Edo Activist, Ikhuenbor Igbinevbo, dumps Obidient Movement for APC

Ikhuenbor Felix Igbinevbo, popularly known as Mr Figo and a former Edo State Coordinator of the Obidient Movement during the 2023 presidential election, has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State.
His defection was marked by a visit to the APC leadership in Ohuan Ward, Uhunmwonde Local Government Area, where he was formally received into the party.
Igbinevbo, an activist known for his civic advocacy, said this move marked the first time in over fifty years that he has decided to join any political party.
He attributed his decision to the leadership and developmental focus of Governor Monday Okpebholo.
He explained that his recent engagements with the governor, particularly during a tour of several local government areas in Edo North and Edo Central, left a lasting impression on him.
“For the first time in my life, I have taken the decision to become a card-carrying member of any political party. I’m doing so because of one man, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Executive Governor of Edo State,” Ikhuenbor stated.
He added that witnessing the governor’s dedication and sincerity towards developing Edo State convinced him that his voice would be more impactful from within the APC.
According to him, it was no longer sufficient to support a good leader from the sidelines, as he now feels compelled to contribute directly to Okpebholo’s people-oriented governance.
