AEDC confirms Abuja blackout, gives no restoration timeline

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has announced a fresh power outage affecting several parts of the Federal Capital Territory.
In a notice posted on its official X account on Saturday, the electricity distribution company attributed the blackout to a technical fault.
Areas affected include Amazon Street, Lephalala Street, Ganges Street, Panama Street, parts of Danube Street, and Osun Crescent, among others.
Other areas affected by the blackout are Rhine Street, Urban Shelter Katampe and Living Faith Church Katampe, Jahi Village, Katampe Extension, Jahi by Gilmore, and environs.
“We regret to inform you that the power outage affecting your area is due to a technical fault,” the notice stated.
Meanwhile, the Disco did not state when power supply will be restored to the affected areas.

Daily Watch gathered that outside the above-named areas, AMSSCO estate in Galadimawa has been out of power supply for three days.
