Nigeria’s women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, stormed into the semi-finals of the 2025 FIBA Women’s Afrobasket Championship after delivering a dominant 83-47 victory over Cameroon on Thursday night at the Palais des Sports de Treichville.

The defending champions put up a commanding display, overwhelming their Cameroonian opponents with intense pressure and precision.

The victory extends D’Tigress’ unbeaten run in Afrobasket tournaments as they continue their hunt for a record fifth consecutive title.

In a confident post on X (formerly Twitter) around 11:49 PM WAT, the team celebrated the win, describing their performance as “surgical precision” that completely neutralized the Cameroonian side and ushered in a “Victory Formation.”

Led by Coach Rena Wakama, the squad built on their earlier group-stage wins against Rwanda and Mozambique, showing consistency, tactical discipline, and teamwork.
